I recently discovered your music, thanx a friend.
And I just love what you do ! I'm looking forward for a release (EP or CD). I particularly love Fjarilar - I heard before another musical version of this poem by a scandinavian band, and your version makes it new for me, even if I heard it before, because you made it with such talent, with your personal music and personal vision.
Thank you for this wonderful music !

I just saw the video on youtube. My first impression was: wonderful. My second: You managed to play exactly the songs our recently founded group was working on... I just hope you don't mind. Congratulations to Trollabundin, its really hard to sing, I'd like to hear more of it!
Your website is another masterpiece; one really loves stay a bit longer on Fieke's creations.

I discovered LEAF last August while doing a search for something related to Máire Brennan. I soon forgot what I was looking for, being intrigued by Fieke's influences. Apart from Máire Brennan, she mentioned a number of my other favourites - Enya, Anúna, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Kate Bush and Carl Orff. It wasn't much longer before I was captivated by Under Nymanen and Fjarilar.
I've been regularly checking your website since then, hoping for news of a release. Such joy to see that you are releasing an EP on Bandcamp. I'm looking forward to getting the remaining three tracks.
All bands are unique, but some are more unique than others. LEAF has a special uniqueness - very refreshing. Thank you for brightening my life.

Ik wilde even laten weten dat ik er beslist geen spijt van heb dat ik op de zaterdag van cf zo vroeg mijn bed ben uitgekomen. Ik heb echt enorm genoten van jullie optreden! Naast pagannight beslist het hoogtepunt van cf 2011. En hier wordt in ieder geval uitgekeken naar de 1e cd en een volgend optreden om bij te kunnen wonen.

Before Castlefest I had been looping your songs on myspace again and again and I couldn't wait to see you perform and hear more songs. And what can I say... Your performance on Castlefest was truly amazing and sooo incredibly good. I can't wait to hear all your songs again. You were really one of the best bands out there! Kunnen julle de volgende keer jullie website aanpassen als een voorstelling niet doorgaat. Heb uren gereist om jullie te zien Fantasiafest, maar hoorde pas daar dat jullie niet kwamen. :(

Het spijt ons vreselijk. Dat was niet de bedoeling geweest, en we voelen ons wel een beetje schuldig.... Het afzeggen van Fantasiafest is heel kortdag geweest, en we waren niet meer in de gelegenheid geweest de website aan te passen. We hebben het vermeld op facebook, maar het is natuurlijk verkeerd om er vanuit te gaan dat iedereen daarop kijkt.
Nogmaals onze welgemeende excuses!
We hopen dat je toch nog hebt kunnen genieten van de andere bands op het festival.

Thanks for the update on the EP.
I hardly can't wait any longer to get the final masterpiece.
I hope there will be a "hardcopy" of the EP in addition to the digital version one day as I am a huge fan of Fieke's artwork and Digipacks (like the Folk Noir EP) in general .
Keep up the great work.

we are looking into possibilities for a printed version,
and yes, we also love fieke's Art work for cd's ...it would be great. but no promises yet ;)
(FolkNoirs art work was made by myself however ;)
